Mokokchung, Oct. 30 (EMN): The Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) celebrated its silver jubilee by hosting a thanksgiving service at the residence of its treasurer, I Temsu Jamir, at Sangtemla ward in Mokokchung town on October 30.
At the event, short jubilee greetings were broadcast online by Temsu Aier and Chiden Yaden from Kohima, MDVA’s first and second presidents respectively. In their greetings, the former presidents recalled the hardship they underwent in the early days after forming the association.
Limasangba, convenor of jubilee planning committee, took the members down the memory lane by giving a glimpse of the association in the past 25 years. He also urged the new generation of MDVA to take new steps to promote the game of volleyball further.
A virtual release of the jubilee souvenir and felicitation of MDVA members was initiated by Tsukjempokba, convenor of souvenir committee, while the jubilee report was presented by Saruba, MDVA secretary.
The thanksgiving prayer was pronounced by Monglier Tzudir, youth evangelist of MTBA, and the thanksgiving service was chaired by Pretty Tzudir.
