Indo-Naga agreement: GPRN/NSCN to push for final date
Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): The GPRN/NSCN has resolved to urge the government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to announce the date for signing of Indo-Naga political agreement without any delay.
A press release from the group informed that this was one of the decisions taken during its joint council meeting held on October 26 at council headquarters, Khehoi designated camp.
It further resolved to extend ‘unflinching support’ to the working committee (WC) of NNPG; unanimously endorsed the GPRN/NSCN collective leadership to continue strengthening the WC, NNPG till the GoI and Nagas sign the negotiated political agreement as per the ‘agreed position’ and subsequent Naga tribes’ endorsed status paper; acknowledged the ‘wisdom and courage’ of NTC, CNTC, NGBF, 14 Tribes and all Naga civil societies for bringing different Naga political groups under the platform of working committee and facilitating the signing of ‘agreed position’.
