Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings on the occasion of Dussehra and Durga Puja.
In a message issued on Friday, Ravi said that the festival is a celebration of victory of truth over falsehood, triumph of the righteous and defeat of the evil.
“It is absolutely necessary for the safety of our people that this year we celebrate Durga Puja observing all the Covid-19 protocols. May this auspicious festival inspire us to follow the path of virtue and guide us towards oneness, peace and happiness,” read the message.
On Twitter, Rio wrote: “Durga Puja, Dussehra greetings to all those who are celebrating. May the auspicious occasion foster goodness, peace and brotherhood. Stay safe.”
