Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): A launching programme of 2-lane road project package 2 -from Alayong Junction to Zero Point at Longleng town under NHIDCL, which was taken up by Kshreeraabd Construction Pvt. Ltd. (KCPL) was held on September 23 at Lomching Camp in Longleng district.
Speaking at the launching programme, the deputy commissioner of Longleng, M Shayung Phom, expressed his gratitude and sincere appreciation to the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, for his active participation and involvement in getting the project approved stating it has fulfilled the long awaited desire of the people.
The deputy commissioner stated the health minister has expressed regret for his inability to attend the launching programme as he is currently on an official visit to Delhi, an update from the office of the deputy commissioner, Longleng, stated on Wednesday.
The DC has urged the company to maintain close coordination and work in consultation with the district administration and police during the execution of the work so as to ensure proper implementation of the project without any hindrances from anti-social elements. He also called upon the company to maintain quality workmanship and assured all cooperation and support from the district administration and the police.
The DC further urged the affected villages to extend their support and cooperation during the implementation of the project.
Senior superintendent of police, Longleng, Yanithung Ezung, while speaking at the programme, has congratulated the people of Longleng district for achieving another milestone in the road connectivity sector. He further assured utmost cooperation and security to all the workers involved in the project.
The programme was chaired by Pichano Kikon, EAC Longleng headquarters, while the invocation was pronounced by the youth pastor of Yaongyimchen Baptist Church. The welcome address was delivered by O Alem Phom, PRO (KCPL).
KCPL contractors Ghunavi Jakhalu and Luckson Sumi gave an introductory and brief report of the project, while N Tialemba Phom, PBCA executive secretary, pronounced the dedicatory prayer. Among others who spoke in the programme included presidents of PPC, PSC and Phomla Hoichem; village council chairmen of Yaongyimchen, Orangkong and Noksosang; public leaders namely Leisha Phom, A Bushi Phom and L Mailo Phom.
