Nagaland records 130 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday

Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 130 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 1,823.
This was informed by the state’s minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, on August 1.
“Tested 552 samples for Covid-19, out of which 130 cases came out positive. 109 cases in Dimapur and 21 in Kohima. All contact tracing are fully activated for all safety,” the minister tweeted.
According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1182 active Covid-19 cases, 635 recoveries, and four deaths.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 640 active cases, followed by Kohima at 368, Mon 109, Peren 22, Phek 13, Mokokchung 11, Zunheboto 8, Wokha 7, and Tuensang at 4, while Longleng and Kiphire has no cases.
