Nyemlang accuses Aung Yung of conniving with NSCN (IM) for economic settlement within India constitution

Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): The Yung Aung faction of the NSCN on Friday maintained that its civil and military set-up are intact despite the recent development, while it also accused the dissidents of trying to usurp the situation to fulfill their vested interest.

The organisation, in a statement issued by its MIP, has totally rejected the baseless allegations made by the expelled leaders led by Niki Sumi against the current leadership of the party which was circulated in the social media. It affirmed that the entire NSCN/GPRN– both civil and military– under the leadership of Yung Aung was fully intact and the recent development does not harm or change the status quo of the party.

It has accused the expelled leaders of trying to attract attention with their self appointed posts while working as agents of the Tatmadaw and Indian Raw.

“In order to maintain their despotic and self-style nature, these leaders have always been opposed to the current transformation policies of the NSCN/GPRN. During the past few years, for reason best known to him, Niki has keep himself completely aloof from the daily affairs of the party refusing to report to the headquarters even after repeated calling letters,” the statement alleged.

It went on to allege that when the entire NSCN/GPRN and the Naga army were threaten and engulf by the armies of both occupational forces, Niki and his associates managed to travel around freely with full protection from the enemy. It accused Niki of supporting a “Parallel government” within the party with intent to officially divide the party based on the artificial boundary line.

The statement also stated that Nyemlang and Starson, blinded by power, had stooped so low and disgraced themselves by falling into his trap.

It appealed to all the Nagas not to be confused and misinformed with the propaganda of the expelled group but to examine the facts rather than fictitious reports.

Meanwhile, president of the dissident group Lt. Gen. (Rtd). Nyemlang Konyak Naga, in a separate statement, pledged his allegiance to defend the Naga’s sovereign political rights.

“Our actions will speak for themselves as NSCN/GPRN navigate the turbulent political waters where wolves in sheep’s clothing are at every nook and corner of the Naga political path,” Konyak affirmed.

He has accused Yung Aung of compromising with the NSCN (IM) for economic settlement within India constitution. He has also accused the government of India of desperately trying to destroy the last bastion of the defenders of Naga sovereign political rights. He has further affirmed to carry on the legacy of SS in defending the inherent sovereign political rights and to support all nations, who are wrongfully oppressed in their struggle for freedom.
