Dimapur, May 8 (EMN): On the second of the three-day travel period for those stranded within Nagaland, a total of 1758 persons left for their respective home districts across the state.
According to a government update on Friday, 85 buses were pressed into service.
In Dimapur, 623 persons departed from the Badminton Stadium. While the Dimapur district administration officers detailed for the exercise were not available for update, the district’s public relations officer, when contacted, informed that 20 buses were provided on the second day.
One hundred eight passengers were ferried on three buses to Wokha district: two to Wokha town and one to Bhandari.
Four buses transported 99 persons to Kiphire; 98 persons on two buses to Phek and one to Meluri; 82 passengers on two buses to Tobu in Mon district; one bus each to Mokokchung town and Changtongya town for 64 passengers; 60 persons on two buses to Tuensang; 43 passengers on two buses to Peren; one bus carrying 36 persons to Zunheboto; and one for Kohima with 33 passengers.
