NTC meets CM on border issue

In view of the firm directive of the Supreme Court for settlement of Assam-Nagaland border issue and the sincere effort of the Union Home Ministry in this regard, the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) officials met the Chief Minister at his private residence today and urged him to react appropriately, efficiently and on time.
Apprising him of its view on Nagaland-Assam border settlement on behalf of the Nagas of Nagaland, the NTC submitted a representation to the State government in this regard.
This is a great opportunity for the two states to settle the dispute mutually in peace for all perpetuity, the memorandum said.
The Chief Minister, on his part, requested the NTC to provide available documents and suggest means to effectively work out people to people talk on the border issue. He assured the NTC delegation that the State government will put in all efforts to bring out an amicable settlement to the age-old border problem for permanent solution. This was stated in a release issued by
