7th Kohima District Open Shooting competition held

KOHIMA — The Kohima District Shooters Association (KDSA) organised the 7th Kohima District Open Shooting Competition on Saturday at D Khel Indoor Stadium in Kohima village.

In the tightly contested Air Rifle 25-metre Bench Rest category for men, Keneilhouzo Chielie clinched the championship title with a score of 221 points. Following closely behind, Kerol Kera secured the second position with a score of 214, while Khriesanyü Miachieo claimed the third position with a score of 213.

In the 10-metre Air Rifle Peep Sight category for women, Uneinuo Solo scored 185 to emerge as the champion, with Kikrukhrienuo Belho scoring 171 to clinch the second position, and Mhalekuonuo Keretsü scoring 157 to secure the third position.

In the men’s 10-metre Air Rifle Peep Sight category, Medophrezo Selhose scored 166 to claim the first position, followed by Thejavizo Sorhie with 157 in the second position, and Vikuovolie Keyho scored 139 to secure the third position.

In the Air Rifle Open Sight category, Menuobeilie Yiese secured the first position with a score of 119. Following closely behind, Thepfuvikho Kuotsu claimed the second position with a score of 105, while Kevikulie Yaotsu clinched the third position with a score of 97.

Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of Youth Resources and Sports, along with patrons of KDSA, MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, and Pele Khezhie, also attended the event.
