Mkg, Phek, Wokha, Dmp claim triumph in their first match

Mokokchung, Phek, Wokha and Dimapur claim victory in their first match today at the ongoing 6th Veteran Football tourney at Imkongmeren complex in Mokokchung Town.
In the first match Mokokchung defeated Tuensang at their home ground with comfortable 4-0 goals.
Kapi John (Jersey-17) from Mokokchung touches the net of the opponent on 13 minutes and 22 minutes on the first half, which created a high hope for the homer to dominate the game. While during the second half, Mokokchung were not relying on a two goal cushion as they continued to dominate the game looking for more goals. The third and forth came with long range shot from Bejoy (Jersey-22) on 50 minutes and Akangtemsu (Jersey-06) on 56 minutes.
The second match saw a tough match between Phek and Longleng. However the match came in favour of Phek with 3-2 victory. Hukhoneyi (jersey-10) score the first goal for Phek on 26 minutes, but it was equalize by H.Da.E (jersey-10) of Longleng after 2 minutes. On the second half Phek team make a comeback score on 36 minutes by Yambemo (Jersey-16) and 56 minutes by Kuveduyi (jersey-08). Longleng team also managed to score its second goal on 59 minutes by Chingshah Jersey-12.
On the third match, Wokha defeated Kohima by 2-0. The first haft saw nil goals from both the team, entering the second half Wokha team began to dominate its opponent team. Wokha team created its chance on 43 minutes with strike from Chinithung (Jersey-7) and the last goal came from Mhao (Jersey-13) in 45 minutes.
The last match witness Dimapur making a swift 5-1 victory against Kiphire. Lima (Jersey-10), score first goal on 12 minutes for Dimapur on the first half. Entering the second half Dimapur came prepared looking for more goals. The second goal for Dimapur came on 37 minutes by Khensoho (Jersey-07), third by Hokhevi, fourth on 44 minutes by Sangjit and lastly Lima (Jersey-10) make his second goal in 51 minute.
Kiphire team began to lose control of their position and despite several attempts, they hardly managed to minimize a goal on 60 minute (last minute) by Sentiwati Lkr (Jersey-3).
Earlier, the tournament was official kick off by Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS) in the present of Mokokchung Veteran football Association president Aotemsu (SP Mokokchung) , Nagaland Veteran football Association president K. Kire (IPS) and respective Veteran football Association from different districts. This year inter District Veteran Football tourney is hosted by Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association (MDVFA) under the theme “Ages of Nagaland Veteran Football Association.”
