3 Karbi People’s Liberation Army cadres surrender
DIPHU — The Assam police updated on Monday that three cadres of the newly formed militant group Karbi People’s Liberation Army (KPLA) have surrendered before the Karbi Anglong police.
“An organisation by the name KPLA was formed in the month of July 2024. It was learnt that they had been trying to commit extortion in Langlokso, Nihanglangso and Borpung of Karbi Anglong,” updated DGP of Assam, Gyanendra Pratap Singh, on X.

He added that the cadres ‘surrendered to the Karbi Anglong police team along with three 0.32 pistols and two rounds of live ammunitions’ due to the sustained effort of the police.
