Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): Can Youth under its ‘Project Development 4 Adolescent’ organised a one-day adolescent sports meet on the theme ‘Ignite the team spirit’ at Hazadisa village, Dhansiripar, on September 17.
An update stated that Phiju Langthasa, head GB Doyapur, and Ranesh Langthasa, council chairman, Hazadisa village, graced the event as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
A total of seven adolescent clubs from six villages including Hazadisa, Darogajan, Doyapur, Ganeshnagar, Munglumukh, Khekiho and Neisatuo Colony, Dimapur, took part in the sports meet.
Programme manager, Can Youth, Sentiwati Kichu, in his welcome note briefed about the organisation and its mission, vision and objective. He also said the purpose of organising sports is to promote leadership spirit, peace and unity, and sensitisation on healthy living.
Ranesh Langthasa and Phiju Langthasa also spoke on the occasion.
The sports meet covered two events- Football (boys and girls) and athletics.
The overall champion was bagged by Hazadisa Village while Doyapur village and Neisatuo colony were placed first and second runner-up respectively.
