DIMAPUR – The 19th Nagaland State Chess Championship 2023, organised by the Nagaland Chess Association (NCA), will be held from July 19 to the 22nd at Nagaland Olympic Association office complex, Kohima.
Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Shanavas C will be the special guest in the inaugural function on July 19, NCA stated in an update.
As per NCA, players must belong to Nagaland state as per their All India Chess Federation registration and registered with AICF for the year 2023-24. Players must register themselves through online at https://prs.aicf.in/ entry. Registration for the event will close on July 18 at 3 pm.
The entry fee is INR1000 for open category and INR 500 for Under-18 and Under- 14 categories. For payment of entry fee, one may contact Vekukho Soho. The total prize money is INR 2,06,000.
In the open category, the first prize carries cash award of INR 50,000 and trophy, while in the Under-18 and Under-14 categories, cash awards for the first prize is INR 10000, respectively.
Besides, the best woman player will also receive INR.5000, while the best player above from 60 years and above will also receive INR 5000, it stated.
