ZYON calls ‘capital punishment’ by NSCN-K (Khango) unacceptable
DIMAPUR — The Zeliangrong Youth Organisation Nagaland (ZYON) condemned the capital punishment imposed on the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho by NSCN-K (Khango) and stated that such threats are non-existent in Naga society.
In a condemnation note, ZYON stated that such actions are unacceptable and undermine the principles of fairness and justice.
Further, it maintained that such demands, threats, and intimidation have no place in a civilised society and are alien to Naga culture. It requested all right-thinking citizens to condemn such threats to pave the way for a peaceful society.
Stating that ZYON supports the demands and actions being taken by the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), it added that it joins them in calling for justice and urges the authorities and organisations to take immediate and decisive steps to ensure accountability and prevent such incidents in the future.
“Our solidarity with AYO is firm and resolute; an attack on a Naga individual is an attack on all Nagas. We stand together in the struggle, committed to defending the rights and dignity of all Nagas,” it said.
