Zunheboto district holds monthly DPDB meeting

DIMAPUR — The monthly DPDB meeting of Zunheboto district was held at DC conference hall on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, in his welcome address, informed the house about the recently concluded Nagaland Olympic Games and said that Zunheboto district did exceptionally well with nine medals, a DIPR report stated.

He congratulated the players as well as coaching staff for the success.

This was followed by review of the last meeting which was read by DPO Zunheboto.

Though no specific agenda was put forth, the house however deliberated on “high rental charges” relating to the multipurpose hall, which will be taken up in the next DPDB meeting.

Sharing his views, general secretary of Sumi Hoho, Vihuto requested the DC to make it compulsory for all HoDs to attend the DPDB meeting, failing which explanation call should be issued and necessary action taken accordingly.

He also suggested that Zunheboto district should have an administrative guest house for the convenience of all heads of department.

In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the DC informed all concerned departments to submit the precise total number of employees for distribution of work assignment.

Mali also said that Zunheboto to Mokokchung two-lane road has been proposed and the district administration will be holding a meeting on March, 4 to discuss the matter with all villages inhabiting alongside the roadways.

The DC further informed the house that the excess amount of INR 36,00,000 collected from Zunheboto district golden jubilee has been audited, and the amount will be utilised “in purchasing the local ground which was earlier a dispute area.”
