Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): Welcoming a new month and beginning of the festive season, Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (ZTSBC), SBAK-Aizuto, celebrated advent Christmas on December 1.
The programme began with lively praise and worship of Christmas songs by the youth praise team. Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi, pastor ZTSBC, speaking on the occasion, greeted the congregation and also thanked those who have contributed for the lively celebration of Christmas2019.
Ladies made a special presentation by showcasing the importance of celebrating Christmas and the wonderful meaning of the event. Gifts were presented to all the church staff, an update from Bombo K Yeptho, ZTSBC media supervisor, stated on Sunday.
The true meaning of Christmas was delivered by Newtoli Chophy, ZTSBC office assistant, which was to spread news of the coming of the Jesus Christ. She said Jesus Christ was sent to wash away all sins and died on the cross for atonement of human race.
She urged everyone to celebrate Christmas together and show its true meaning by being as one. Also stating that no one knows the plan of God, she urged to always do good things.
Christmas choral was presented by the church youth choir, while a drama was enacted by Alahuto youth on the birth of Jesus Christ and a choreography was presented by the Amiphoto male members.
The event was attended by more than 2000 people and concluded with a carol.
