DIMAPUR — The Zeliang Students’ Union (ZLSU) has clarified on a “voice note,” which has been going viral in social media, in which a person claiming to be the president of Zeliang Students’ Union and Zeliang People Youth Organisation threatened “Angami brothers”.

In a clarification, the union affirmed that the office of the Zeliang Students’ Union and its president have “no part to play,” as stated in the audio file.

“It is to be noted that the individual claiming to be the president of multiple organisations has no credibility on his claim and is doing so with either an ulterior motive to bring disunity and conflict between the Angami and Zeliang brotherhood or for self-glorification.

“The Zeliang Students’ Union will not tolerate such kind of imposters who tries to use the name of its office for personal agendas or for bringing communal conflict. While the culprit is being traced for necessary actions, we urge every individual to abstain from sharing the voice note further to prevent any misunderstanding and cause social unrest within our communities,” the union stated.
