Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): Advisor to Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs Zhaleo Rio on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed playground, rostrum and RCC gallery attached with shops at Old Showuba under Niuland sub-division in Dimapur.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Rio expressed gratitude to the villagers and Zaputuo Lhoungu, class-1 contractor, for their joint efforts and commitment towards completion of the project on time. Attributing unity among villagers for bringing about positive changes, he encouraged them to set an example even in future, an update stated.
The advisor informed that the project was funded by the ministry of Tribal Affairs during the period 2019-20. He also urged the competent authorities to maintain the facilities with care so that any event could be hosted in the future.
On the health front, he lamented that the Nagas have become complacent with the relaxation of protocol related to Covid-19. He, therefore, urged the gathering to strictly follow the three basic SOP such as maintaining distance of 6 feet, washing of hands and regular use of sanitisers and wearing of face masks.
He further advised the leaders to strictly follow the protocols and also teach others about the pandemic.
