DIMAPUR — The Ze Mnui (Yangkhullen) Village Authority has condemned the July 12 judgement and order of the Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) with regard to land (forest) dispute at “Hezing/Kezoltsa/Kozürü/Kazing,” and termed the verdict as “biased.”
In a press release, the Ze Mnui Village Authority alleged that the judgement ignored the “land owner and stakeholder Ze Mnui (Yangkhullen) village” and also sidelined the Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland), the constituent unit of TPO.

The village authority also pointed out that the verdict was pronounced “in spite of tendering our claims and several representations/position papers and subsequent representations from the Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) basing on our traditional history of territory and boundaries.”
Terming the judgement and order passed in the TPO presidential council as undermining the “real landowner Ze Mnui (Yangkhullen) village,” the village authority also said that the Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation (NZPO), a non- constituent unit of TPO, being one of the signatories of the judgement and order is “uncalled for and highly condemnable and unacceptable.”
“The TPO will be held solely responsible for any untoward consequences which may arise due to the partial verdict, between the contending parties,” it stated.
“Therefore, we strongly condemn and reject the judgement and order passed on 12/07/24 and considers ‘null and void’ in the larger interest and integrity of the Tenyimi Organisation,” the release added.
