Zavi’s Club win first Open Penalty Shootout Championship

Zavi’s Club Jotsoma today emerged the champion of the 1st Open Penalty Shoot-out Tournament held at Seikhazou (D. Khel Ground), Kohima village under the aegis of Prodigies on the theme “Innovating a stronger fellowship.”
Winning the coveted champion title, Zavi’s Club was bagged cash award of Rs. 30,000 along with running trophy and citation.
New Market (B) placed second received cash award of Rs. 20,000. Khedi Junior CE were placed third while BKK Tsiesema fourth to pocket Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5000 respectively.Goal keeper of New Market (B) Seketou Pienyü was adjudged the best goal keeper and awarded Rs. 5000.
Altogether 45 teams participated in the day-long championship which was inaugurated by DGP (retd) K. Kire as the chief guest.
The inaugural function chaired Seyiekhrietuo Sekhose commenced with Pastor of Khedi Baptist Church, Neisalie Keretsü saying the invocation while convenor organizing committee Kekhrielelie Tseikha delivered the welcome address. Mhasivonuo Linyü and Neiphrenuo Pienyü presented special number.
Kethovilie Sachü was the leader of closing function while vote of thanks was proposed by public relation Avilie Mepfhiio and benediction pronounced by secretary Kezhekietuo Belho.
