YouthNet pitches for early Indo-Naga settlement to attract investors

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Founder and chairperson of YouthNet, Hekani Jakhalu, has opined that an early settlement to the Indo-Naga political issue would pave the way for private investors in the region, which in turn, could provide immense job opportunities especially for the youth and entrepreneurs.

Interacting with the officials of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU), Hekani Jakhalu, encouraged the officials on the need to assume ownership of Dimapur and holistically develop stating that it is the right appropriate platform to address the needs and welfare activities of the citizens. In this regard, she maintained that an early settlement to Indo-Naga peace process could pave a way for private investors in the region and also open up immense job opportunities especially for the youth and entrepreneurs, an update from DNSU stated.

Stressing on the needed ecosystem for industrial growth, which was governed by multiple factors, she stated that ‘social security’ was the most crucial as no investors from outside would risk investing in the state if there was a lack of security.

She further advised the DNSU to carry out envisioning exercise and leadership training to make short-term and long-term blueprint vision plan of their organization. She has assured all possible assistance from the YouthNet in future to conduct mapping exercise, which would definitely benefit the student community and youth under Dimapur district.

Hekani Jakhalu has been invited by DNSU to grace its ensuing sports and debate event involving 12 tribal units from August 10 to the 12^th.
