Youth told to build themselves through entrepreneurship

Mokokchung, Feb. 22 (EMN): Senior advisor of Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MB Longkumer, has encouraged the youth to build themselves as individuals through entrepreneurship and contribute towards building the society.
MB Longkumer stated this at the one-day entrepreneurship awareness programme organised jointly by the Ministry of MSME, Dimapur branch, in association with Business Association of Nagas (BAN) at Whispering Winds in Mokokchung town on Tuesday.
Resource person during the technical session, Imtiwapang, inspector of DIC, spoke on the role of DIC for self-employment through the PMEGP scheme in Nagaland, while Hongba Phom, BAN executive member and a successful entrepreneur, shared the prospects for starting a new enterprise and motivated the participants by narrating his success story.
The chief manager of SBI, Kreho Athili, spoke on financial inclusion and literacy, while Achamo Erui spoke on financial schemes and MSME loans for the existing and prospecting entrepreneurs.
During the programme, the Mokokchung chapter of Business Association of Nagas was formally launched and Arenla Lemtur was elected as convenor with MB Longkumer as the district patron.
Meanwhile, BAN Mokokchung Chapter announced that there would be co-ordinators for Agri services, trading, education and manufacturing.
The objective of the event was to create awareness among youth in various aspects of entrepreneurship as an alternative career option and to inculcate the key concept of entrepreneurship. It also aimed at guiding the youth regarding various schemes available for unemployed youth which could be used for self-employment.
