DIMAPUR — The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), along with all its frontal organisations and advisors, held a crucial meeting at WSH Hiyam at Chekiye village in Chümoukedima on Wednesday to address the growing discord within the GPRN/NSCN (U), Khehoi Camp.

According to a press release, during the meeting, the members of the WSH expressed deep worry over the possibility of the situation escalating into violence among the Nagas if immediate action was not taken to resolve the rift.

Thereafter, a unanimous resolution was reached in which it was specified that any Naga political groups (NPG) found to be initiating conflict or engaging in violence within the jurisdiction of Western Sumi, which includes Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima, would face severe consequences from the Western Sumi Hoho. This could include complete non-cooperation and blacklisting.

The WSH emphasised the importance of unity among all Naga groups and urged them to prioritise the well-being of the Naga people above all else.

“It was crucial for all parties to come together in cooperation and with respect to find a peaceful resolution instead of further dividing and forming factions,” it said, adding that WSH called on all stakeholders to work together to prevent any discord and violence.

The WSH further reaffirmed its dedication to promoting peace, unity, and solidarity within the Naga community and stressed the need for all parties to work towards a harmonious resolution for the greater good of the Naga people.
