Workshop on Medical Education Technology held at NEIGRIHMS
Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The National Medical Council (NMC), Regional Centre for Medical Education Technology (RC-MET), NEIGRIHMS has successfully conducted the first revised basic course workshop on Medical Education Technology from Sep. 12 till the 14th.
An update issued on Sep. 15 informed that a total of 19 medical faculties from West Bengal, Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and 11 inhouse faculties were trained.
The programme is said to contribute towards improving the quality of medical education in the eastern region, by upskilling medical teachers with newer techniques in MET and orienting them to the newly introduced Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) which was recently introduced by the NMC.
NEIGRIHMS was recently awarded the status of RC-MET in March 2022.
The RC-MET, NEIGRIHMS will also be conducting several such workshops annually and help train faculties of 17 medical colleges assigned to it by NMC, the update informed.
