Dimapur, Dec. 15 (EMN): Wokha district administration organised a one-day workshop on various schemes including Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI) on Thursday at the DC’s office conference hall.

Briefing the gathering during the workshop, the deputy commissioner of Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, informed that the programme was aimed to help and guide local entrepreneurs as to how the schemes could be availed, a DIPR report stated.

Stating that many schemes and projects were introduced by the government to help the public, Ranjan lamented that the public could not avail the opportunity due to lack of awareness. He, therefore, stated that the workshop was organised with a view to sensitise the public and entrepreneurs.

He further appealed to the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the funds so that their target could be achieved and also reminded them to pay back the loans on time.

Lead district manager of SBI, Wokha Branch, highlighted on the procedures involved in filing applications and reminded them to prepare their reports to match with their projects as eligible beneficiaries would be selected accordingly.

Skill development officer of Wokha, Anuranjan Singh, also apprised the gathering about the different schemes introduced by the government for the welfare of the local entrepreneurs, unemployed youth and the self help groups. He also highlighted, in brief, the funding pattern and subsidy support related to the various schemes and projects.
