Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland imparts training to women entrepreneurs
Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): The Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN), in partnership with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), organised a MSME training for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland under National SC-ST Hub support scheme on September 20.
WENN, in an update, informed that the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) was set up to provide professional support to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs. NSSH is being implemented by the NSIC, a public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of MSME, it stated.
The branch manager of NSSH at Guwahati, Peter Thawngneihchina, who spoke in the training programme, explained the importance of MSME for the Northeast region and the process of registration through Udyam portal.
He also highlighted various schemes and subsidies available under the Ministry of MSME such as capacity building schemes, special marketing assistance, certification and special credit-link capital subsidy on bank loans.
In the interactive session, the queries of the participants were addressed to.
WENN also facilitated on-spot MSME registration of the participants.
“Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland was formed with the vision to empower women to create an ecosystem in Nagaland by empowering women through networking and training, to give fellow entrepreneurs access to information and to foster visibility,” it stated.
WENN intends to conduct such need-based trainings and programmes to foster an ecosystem of growth for women entrepreneurs in Nagaland, it added.
