Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Wokha, Peren and Niuland districts have bade farewell to their respective outgoing deputy commissioners and other administrative officers, who were transferred and allotted other assignments.
The Wokha district planning and development board (DPDB) bade farewell to its outgoing deputy commissioner, Orenthung Lotha; ADC Lankonsen T Tsanglao; and SDO (C) Chonpenthung Ezung and Wanmei Phom during a programme held in the DC’s conference hall in Wokha town on June 9.
Speaking on the occasion, Orenthung stated that he was privileged to serve his own people and attributed all the achievements to the support and cooperation from all sections. He thanked the legislators of the district for reposing faith on him to work with his own people. He has particularly thanked the advisor of Law and Justice, Dr. Chumben Murry, for his constant support to the administration during difficult times.
Lankonsen and Chonpenthung Ezung also spoke at the programme.
Also speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chumben Murry, thanked all the officers for the valuable service rendered to the people of Wokha and appreciated their leadership in maintaining law and order in the district. He further encouraged them to work with the same vigour wherever they might be posted.
In a related programme, Peren district bade farewell to its outgoing deputy commissioner, Sentiwapang Aier, during a programme held on June 8 at the DC’s conference hall.
A DIPR report stated that various district-level officers and leaders from civil societies, in their speeches, have spoke highly of the outgoing DC and described him as one of the most dedicated, efficient and humble administrative officers.
In his farewell speech, Sentiwapang Aier has termed his three years stay in Peren as ‘very challenging and exciting.’ He thanked the administrative officers, HOD and civil societies for their cooperation and support for enabling him to carry out his assigned responsibilities without any difficulty.
He encouraged the gathering to share a cordial relation and work collectively with the new DC and further appealed to work with sincerity and dedication for all round development in the district.
Meanwhile, Niuland district bade farewell to its outgoing DC, Ajit Kumar Verma, ADC Athrila S Sangtam and SDO (C) Anoka H Assumi on June 10.
Speaking on the occasion, Verma acknowledged the role and support of the ADC and his staff. He also underlined the important roles of PS to DC and Dobashis stating that they are the eyes and ears of the administration. He also urged the public leaders of the district to have a futuristic planning for the progress and development of a new district.
Athrila S Sangtam stated that the new district has the potential to be developed within 5-10 years. Various officers and public leaders attended the programme.
