Participants along with resource person and members of Eco Warriors during a field visit to ML Grows Farm in Indisen village, Dimapur, on April 18.

Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): Wokha Forest Division conducted a workshop-cum-field visit on “Hydroponics” at ML Grows Farm in Indisen village, Dimapur, on April 18.

The programme was organised under the aegis of National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, government of India, with assistance from Eco Warriors Nagaland.

An update from the department stated that Marbong, proprietor of ML Grows, was the resource person.

During the programme, the resource person gave an introduction to hydroponics farming. He also talked about the various systems, crops and system selection, planning, as well as the dos and don’ts in hydroponic farming.

The resource person also presented a demonstration on starting of seeds and transplantation; hydroponic system walk-around in his farm.

The programme was attended by around 50 participants from Unity College, Dimapur, including students and teachers. Flyers on hydroponics were also distributed to all the participants.
