Wokha football team sets off for Nagaland Olympics 2022

Dimapur, Aug. 16 (EMN): The flagging off ceremony for the Wokha district football team for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympics Games (NOPG) 2022 was held at local ground in Wokha on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan, who is also the chairman of Wokha District Sports Council, informed an update.

While encouraging the participants to exhibit their talents, show the true spirit of sportsmanship and give their best, he also urged them be disciplined and wished them luck.

The NOPG 2022 will kick off at IG Stadium, Kohima on August 22 and conclude on the 27th. However, football contingents have been asked to report to the games village on August 16, as the game will begin on the following day.
