Mokokchung, Dec. 8: A first of its kind in Mokokchung town, a three-day Winter Festival got underway at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on December 8.
Organized by Mokokchung Art & Aesthetic Management (MAAM) on the theme ‘Creating Opportunities’ was inaugurated by Aotemsu, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, as the guest of honour.
The carnival is expected to attract hundreds of fun loving visitors and families with the onset of festive season in the town. More than thirty stalls, which include indigenous food stalls, kids carnival, karaoke, health awareness programme, zip liners, maze etc. have been rented out to the self-help groups, individuals, and entrepreneurs to create a positive results and generated revenue.
The organisers are focused to continue with its philanthropic works and create new impact on promoting women and youth in the growth process.
