Western Sumi Hoho urges Nagaland government to ensure lifting of blockade by NZPO
Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has urged the state government to immediately intervene and ensure lifting of the “unjustified blockade” of Kiyevi village by the Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation (NZPO).
In a press release, the WSH cautioned that it will impose an indefinite bandh on the entire Dhasiripar sub-division and take remedial steps it deems fit to rescue Kiyevi village from the blockade if the blockade is not lifted within 24 hours of publishing this statement.
It said the resolution was arrived at during an emergency meeting with all its frontal organizations on Friday.
It also withdrew from the co-ordination committee which was earlier formed between the Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland and the WSH.
The WSH further directed “all Sumis residing in Peren district to leave the district within 48 hours of until further notice”.
