Kohima, Nov. 2 (EMN): The Public Health Engineer Department (PHED) has informed the public of Kohima that the water supply to the town will be disrupted due to improvement and widening of national highway from Phesama Check Gate to KMC Check Gate bye pass on NH-29.
The department informed that the main water supply pipeline from Phesama source has been damaged due to ongoing works adding water supply to Dairy Farm area, Lerie colony, AG colony, PWD, Chandmari and some portions of Kohima town have been affected.
Executive engineer PHED Urban Division Kohima, P Khetoi Sema, stated that the department was in the process of procuring materials for early restoration of water supply to the affected areas.
