DIMAPUR — After consulting with the state and district teams, the Common Service Centre (CSC) VLE Society of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland has urged all village council heads, GBs, and chairpersons in the areas to contact the society office before involving any CSC village-level entrepreneurs (VLEs) for accessing schemes introduced by the government of India.

It stated that CSC VLEs operate under the aegis of the Ministry of Information Technology and are duly registered by the government to oversee the functions of VLEs. Consequently, the society will deploy VLEs based on requests received from the village councils.

The rationale behind centralising the process provided is to eliminate misunderstandings among VLEs regarding their business operations, abolish the practice of overcharging by VLEs by establishing fixed charges prior to deployment, and protect the reputation of CSC VLEs by preventing misuse of their name.

It stated that this step aims to foster transparency between CSC VLEs and the villages within their jurisdiction and requested all village authorities to extend their cooperation to the office.

Furthermore, it emphasised that following this appeal, the state, district, and society teams will not be held responsible for any incidents arising from drives organised by villages without prior intimation to the office.

For inquiries regarding drives or complaints, one may contact the CSC VLE Society office at 7005279571 or 7005707658.
