Kohima, May 21 (EMN): Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Veterinary Services has felicitated its Deputy Director and Nodal Officer, Dr. Zasekuolie Chüsi, who was recently inducted into the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) under non-state civil services.
Dr. Chüsi holds the degree of B.V.Sc & AH, M.Sc (Ag) APM, MA (Pol. Science) and LL.B. He was inducted as IAS cadre on May 5, 2019. He is the third person from the state serving as IAS officer from non-state civil services.
Speaking at a felicitation programme held on May 21 at the directorate of AH&VS conference hall, Chüsi, who has been in the government service for 25 years in different departments under various capacities, said he has gained lots of experiences in the course of his services.
Though there were challenges and obstacles along the way, he said the resolve to overcome and face the consequences with positive attitudes have been one of his strengths and added that all those provocations and stumbling blocks in life have made him what he is today.
He informed that more than 60 veterinarians are serving in different departments in different fields of services as IFS, NCS, NPS etc.
While stressing on professionalism, Chüsi urged upon the need to look beyond professionalism with greater perspective and vision for the people. He stated that officers should rise above petty issues and look beyond for furtherance of the community.
While reminding that progress and achievement is within oneself, he stated that self discipline with strong determination will always lead to success in every field.
Chüsi, who is also the president of Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association (CANSSEA), acknowledged the state government for empanelling his candidature and the UPSC as well as the department of personnel and training, Government of India, for his appointment.
“I am proud to be veterinarian and the veterinary professional tag will always be with me,” said Chüsi.
