DIMAPUR — A vertical garden at the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Convention Centre, Kohima, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
Under the banner of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), the Kohima Forest Division carried out the plantation of over 300 ornamental plants to serve as air purifiers within the premises of the NBCC Convention Centre, according to an update.
During the brief programme, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary of the NBCC, lauded the excellent work done by the Kohima Forest Division under the leadership of Chisayi, divisional forest officer.

He further expressed his joy at the inauguration of the vertical garden and noted the need for such initiatives in today’s time.
The Kohima Forest Division and the NBCC members also requested the general public to appreciate the initiative and refrain from damaging the installation.
