DIMAPUR — A joint verification of fuel outlets was conducted in Dimapur under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) on July 20.

According to a DIPR report, two teams, led by the district administration and comprising officials from the Fire and Emergency Services, Police, Food and Civil Supplies, Legal and Meteorology departments, the chief medical officer, and the Nagaland Pollution Control Board, inspected fuel outlets in the district.

The inspection focused on checking for adulteration, fuel quality, quantity accuracy, and fire safety measures and was part of the action plan under the National Clean Air Programme, which aims to improve air quality, particularly in non-attainment cities, by reducing particulate matter by 40% by 2024.

The teams also assessed the availability of basic amenities such as drinking water, free air, separate toilets for males and females, and facilities like CCTV installations.
