DIMAPUR — Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign was held at Bhumnyu village council hall in Longleng district on December 11.
A DIPR report stated that the campaign began with screening of the Sankalp (pledge) video and a recorded message from the prime minister.
In his keynote address, CPS Bakshi, joint secretary of Ministry of Minority Affairs and district prabhari officer of VBSY of Longleng, expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He underscored the significance of Viksit Bharat and urged the participants to capitalise on the various flagship schemes offered by the Government of India.
He informed that the event aimed to empower the community through heightened awareness and accessibility to government schemes. He further mentioned that the collaborative efforts of the Bhumnyu village council, various departments and active participation of the community would result in success of the programme.
The programme was chaired by Hilo, VDB secretary, while the welcome address was delivered by Angam, chairman of Bhumnyu village council.
The highlights of the event included a thorough exploration of the Viksit Bharat initiative, Meri Kahani Meri Zubani (personal narratives) by self help group (NSRLM), PMJAY beneficiary and cultural extravaganza.
Satat Krishi activities (focused session on sustainable agricultural activities) and dedicated discourse promoting sustainable agricultural practices, on-spot service, health camp and PMMVY special registration drive were other highlights of the programme.
Officials from the department of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fishery, PHE, Social Welfare, Soil and Water Conservation were also present at the programme.
