Kohima, June 6 (EMN): Residents of Naga Hospital colony in Kohima, particularly those living near the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), now Covid-19 hospital, have complained that domestic refuse from the area has not been cleared for almost a week.

Residents informed Eastern Mirror that wastes collected and kept at specific corners for the sanitation van to clear off have been left unattended, and are mounting day by day.

The residents of Ward No. 9 (Naga Hospital colony) said that they have ‘no clue’ why the sanitation van did not come to collect the garbage, though the same van has been collecting wastes from other colonies.

When enquired whether the sanitation van was prohibited from entering the hospital complex to pick the garbage, they said ‘nobody stopped them’.

“If they do not come to pick the garbage in next two to three days, things will become problematic. KMC’s attention should be drawn to this,” some of the residents said.
