Kohima, Oct. 9 (EMN): Union Baptist Church (UBC), Kohima, has announced to host a two-day leadership Global Leaders Summit (GLS) on October 13 and 14. The Global Leadership Summit (GLS), will be held via video cast worldwide with renowned leaders around the globe as speakers.
Announcing this at a press conference at UBC, Kohima, on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo, Director of organising team GLS, Kohima, said the summit will inspire and equip leaders from different backgrounds including church, government business, not-for-profit organisations etc.
“GLS serves as an oasis for such people because it offers a unique blend of vision, inspiration and practical skills which can be immediately applied in one’s life,” stated Vihienuo.
A two-day GLS will be held at Union Baptist Church, Kohima, on October 13 and 14 from 9 AM – 5 PM. Four sessions will be held each day including special music, food, and discussions. The organisers have expected about 300 delegates to the summit.
The organisers informed that all the speakers will be presented via video-cast on a movie-theatre-sized screen to ensure a high-quality real-time summit experience. GLS survey worldwide has indicated that the Summits held via video-cast are much more impactful than the live Summit in the USA.
It was learned that GLS Kohima was awarded the “best site for excellence in facilitation” this year at the main Summit in Willow Creek, Illinois, USA held from August 10-11.
The Summit speakers are from diverse backgrounds. The line-up for this year’s faculty are Bill Hydels, founder and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church; Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer Facebook; Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of Equal Justice Initiative; Juliet Funt, CEO of Whitespace at Work; Sam Adeyemi, founder and senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre in Nigeria; Laszlo Bock, senior advisor of Google; Gary Haugen, founder and CEO of International Justice Mission; Angela Duckworth, professor, University of Pennsylvania; Fredrik Haren, author; and Andy Stanley, leadership author.
