Two killed in road accident in Nagaland’s Wokha district

Dimapur, Feb. 26 (EMN): Two persons were killed and another two injured after a van they were travelling in skidded off the road at Sanis village area in Wokha district at around 8 pm on Friday.

Sources informed that the engine of the vehicle suddenly stalled, and when it was turned on again, the vehicle sped down the road, approximately 400 metre below.

Two persons died on the spot while the driver and another co-passenger suffered several injuries. They were rushed to Sanis Community Health Centre for first aid before being shifted to Dimapur for further treatment, sources informed.

It was reported that the occupants of the vehicle were returning from Baghty town after attending a family meeting. The accident happened about 3 km away from Sanis town towards Sunglup village.
