Dimapur, August 15 (EMN): Controversial Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel has yet again been banned from Twitch after he live-streamed Kanye West’s latest album Donda.

This is the fifth time that xQc has been banned from the streaming platform and according to Twitch’s Terms of Service and suspension policy, the streamer is only one offence away from being permanently banned from the platform.

It may be mentioned that xQc had earlier gotten banned from Twitch on July 28, 2021, for streaming the Olympics Games Tokyo 2020. It is speculated that the reason for xQc’s sixth ban is probably another DMCA strike.

You see, xQc was broadcasting Kanye West’s DONDA event on his live stream. Although xQc had deleted the video to avoid a DMCA copyright strike, it was too late and he was instead handed a 4-hour temporary ban.

Jake Lucky from Esports Talk tweeted that xQc got “copyright struck for streaming DONDA” and mentioned that the streamer has decided to sue Kanye West.

The former professional Overwatch player is one of Twitch’s biggest streamers with almost 6 million followers but despite his popularity, xQc could be permanently banned from the platform if he is not careful.

We have already seen that Twitch will hand a permanent ban to a streamer if it feels that the streamer keeps violating its policies. ASMR streamer Indiefoxx was permanently banned just two months ago after receiving her sixth ban. DrDisrespect was once the biggest streamer on Twitch but he was also permanently banned from the platform without any official explanation.

We are still waiting on an official explanation from Twitch and it won’t be surprising if it is just another DMCA strike like rumours suggest. However, xQc is just one strike away from being permanently banned from the platform and if he is not careful, we may see xQc on a different platform sooner than later.
