Tuensang celebrates New India Movement

Dimapur, August 28 (EMN): Tuesang celebrated the New India Movement for 2017-2022, ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ (Attainment through resolve), on August 25, at CKS Hall, Tuensang, with Deputy Commissioner (DC), L. Jamithung Lotha as chief guest. The programme was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tuensang.
In his speech, DC highlighted the Central Government’s objective to develop India by developing the grass root section of the nation and apprised on the data of the most backward district of the nation which needs to be quickly facilitated so that they can grow together along with the rest of the nation.
He exhorted the governmental officials to co-operate and work together so that every sector can be touched at the developmental level. The farmers were advised to learn and share the knowledge for productive farming for all, so that everyone will be benefitted.
Lotha also encouraged all the stakeholders and NGOs to set achievable targets so that the production level will increase. The idea on New India should also be read as ‘New Tuensang’ along with the schemes and objectives for which all the stakeholders should work accordingly, he added.
The seven point strategies for ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ was also read out by all the Agri & Allied departments along with the banking institutions which included Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Irrigation & Flood Control, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Fishery, Forestry and SBI, Tuensang.
Inspirational documentary videos were also screened for the farmers present at the programme, the press release stated.
