TRIFED to organise tribal artisan mela in Longleng on September 27

DIMAPUR — The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. (TRIFED), in partnership with the Longleng district administration, would organise a ‘Tribal artisan mela’ at VDB hall in Longleng town on September 27.

A DIPR report stated that the ‘Tribal artisan mela’ is being organised as part of the ‘Marketing and logistics support for promotion of tribal products in Northeastern region (PTP-NER)’ initiative.

In this regarding, tribal artisans are invited to actively participate in the event by presenting their product samples along with necessary documents such as ST certificate, Aadhar card, bank passbook copy, and passport size photograph. It added that the participation would enable them to become affiliated with TRIFED for enhanced market access.

It informed that travel allowance of INR 500 would be provided to each tribal artisan, which would be deposited directly into their respective accounts.

Artisans who are interested to be part of the ‘Tribal artisan mela’ are requested to submit their applications at the nearest administrative office latest by September 25. Artisans are also asked to contact Bue on phone no. 7085685775 for further information.
