Training on palliative care held at School of Nursing IMDH in Mokokchung
DIMAPUR — To equip students with the knowledge of palliative care, which is not included in the curriculum, a three-day programme on introduction and training of palliative care was conducted at the School of Nursing, Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung, from November 22 to the 24th.
A total of 124 students attended the training programme conducted by Dr. Obangjungla (Retired General Physician) in three batches, said an update from the School of Nursing, IMDH, Mokokchung.
In view of the rise in cancer, stroke, chronic kidney, chronic liver and other debilitating chronic diseases today, there is a need for a comprehensive health care to relieve the total pain which includes physical, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions, said the update.
