Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): A training on “Modern techniques in aquaculture” being organised by ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre got underway on March 8 at Training Centre Brooders Fish Farm, Half Nagarjan in Dimapur. The programme is being conducted in collaboration with the department of Fisheries, Government of Nagaland. Updates from DPRO informed.
On the first day, technical employees of the Fisheries dept. and progressive farmers of Dimapur district were trained on fish production with poly-culture and integrated fish farming. Practical demonstrations of water testing by using portable testing kits developed by the centre were also given during the programme, the press release from
Principal scientist, S Dasgupta and scientist, Sujata Sahoo from ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre were the resource persons for the training.
