Traffic advisory issued due to sunken road along Kohima-Meluri stretch

DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has advised the public to exercise caution and avoid plying on NH-150(old)/NH-29 Kohima-Meluri road, informing that a portion of the road at Tarliedzü, below Kohima village ground near Administrative Training Institute (ATI) has sunk, rendering it unsafe for vehicular traffic.
Asking commuters to avoid this road for non essential purposes till it is restored, the district administration suggested alternative route via Ziekezou (Don Bosco junction) – Kohima village circular road Seikhazou – Oriental college Road – Keyake (BSF camp), for light motor vehicles.
