Tourism department to conduct online painting and essay writing contest

Kohima, Sep. 9 (EMN): To commemorate World Tourism Day 2020, the department of Tourism has announced to conduct an open online competition on painting and essay writing on the theme “Tourism: Building peace! Fostering Knowledge.”

According to the department, painting competition would be conducted for students from classes 8-10, while an essay competition would be conducted for students from classes 11 and 12. The department has also announced an open category for everyone other than those falling under the children section.

The theme for essay writing completion would be based on ‘Tourism-post Covid,’ and the theme for painting would be based on ‘Rural tourism’.
The department stated that one participant would be eligible for one entry in each category. It also stated that all participants should submit their entries in A4 size paper and mailed to nagalandtourism2014@gmail.com along with the details of the participant; their name, class, school, address and contact number.

It stated that the last date of submission would be on September 22 and the result would be declared on September 27. It stated that the best three entries along with five consolations would be selected from both categories.

Cash prizes and certificates would be awarded to the winning participants, the department informed.
