TikTok debuts ‘Creativity Program Beta’ to monetise creators
Popular short video platform, TikTok, on Monday, announced a beta version of its new monetisation tool, the “Creativity Program Beta,” for its creators.
According to a blog post by the company, the new tool is designed to help creators “foster their creativity” and “generate higher revenue.” The company said that the monetisation tool is currently available in the US, France, and Brazil.
TikTok also revealed that the Creativity Program was developed based on feedback from creators on TikTok’s creator solutions, including the TikTok Creator Fund.
“We developed the Creativity Program based on learnings and feedback from our creators on our creator solutions, including the TikTok Creator Fund,” the company wrote.
To be eligible for the Creativity Program Beta, users must be at least 18 years old and meet minimum follower and video view requirements, and have an account in “good standing.” Those already enrolled in the TikTok Creator Fund can switch to the Creativity Program Beta.
Meanwhile, those who are not yet enrolled in the Creator Fund can apply once the new program becomes available.
To start earning, creators must create and publish high-quality, original content that is longer than one minute. In addition, creators will have access to an updated dashboard to view video eligibility, estimated revenue, and video performance metrics and analytics.
TikTok also stated that all videos for the Creativity Program must abide by its Community Guidelines to ensure that the safety of its community is upheld.
