Had Atom bombs not devastated Heroshima and Nagasaki, Nagas would have got Independence before the Indians. The Emperor of Japan declared that he will fight against the British Imperialism and liberate those nations suffering under it. The aim was to liberate the whole South East Asia including Nagaland and India. Kohima and Chittagong were the last destination and as soon as these two targets were taken he gave his words, Nagaland and India would be proclaimed Independent.

This is found in the Triparite Agreement between Phizo, Subash Chandra Bose and General Sato, reproduced for your general knowledge, which went, “Whereas our aim is same but objectives is different.” The interpretation was that they will fight against the imperialism, but after victory both India and Nagaland will be Independent of her own and Japan will not be interfered.

The Triparite Agreement was approved by the Emperor of Japan. For some reason Phizo had handed over to me with the agreement and approval, when he departed from Nagaland on his mission abroad.

Nay, I am afraid, People of Nagaland whether aware or not and as such without any formal agreement ‘an entry of Japanese Forces’into our country cannot be done without having a common purpose. Because an entry of hostile army into another country and the used of pressure, war and battlefield was beyond the power of the Emperor of Japan and Gen. Sato.

Therefore, it is altogether wrong to suppose even for a moment … thereby esteemplified and prepounding on a lose cause.

Nothing better could have been expected than the life of the Great Emperor Hirohito, the Great General Kotuku Sato, a leader a hero and a legend Angami Zapuphizo and Subash Chandra Bose. Lack of information on the part of history is regretted.
