Since our people democratically constituted the Naga National Council (NNC) on 2nd February, 1946 at Wokha village to safeguard the sovereign birthright of all Nagas as a Nation, the mandated NNC with its inception christened the name “NAGALAND” of our country and unanimously adopted it. Then subsequently reaffirmed the name NAGALAND in the meeting of NNC held on 10th December, 1950 at Wokha village, Lotha Region.
Nagaland: The land which permanently belongs to Nagas is called “Nagaland”. It is historically, religiously and politically undisputed and inalienable at all in defence of our Nation as the Yehzabo (Constitution) of Nagaland always stands its ground and testifies the truth and reality of our Nation. Therefore all of our people, young and old, have written and spoken the name “Nagaland” and rightly filled our country with it. Nagaland, the name of our country, has now already reached every nook and corner of the world and has reached to the United Nations Organisation (UNO), the highest Organisation in the world so far, by submitting various Memorandums by the NNC and earned the official acknowledgement signed by Ralph J. Bunche, Under-Secretary of the U.N. on 13th October, 1965. So, no Naga should distort these milestones as the Bible says, “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set” (Proverbs 22: 28).
Isak Swu, Th. Muivah and S.S. Khaplang signed their Manifesto and Polarisation’s Booklet in the name of Nagaland on 31st January, 1980 by deviating from NNC/FGN. Isak and Muivah did sign the Framework Agreement on 3rd August, 2015 in the name of Nagaland thrice and not Lim or else. So they should not continue to say a lie and create confusion among the Nagas by rewriting or distorting the true history of the Naga Nation. The Bible says: Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.” (John 19: 21)
Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written” (John 19: 22).
